AWR paid $56.4 million in dividends to shareholders for the year ended December 31, 2022, as compared to $51.7 million for the year ended December 31, 2021. GSWC paid dividends of $27.0 million and $38.3 million to AWR in 2022 and 2021, respectively. BVESI paid dividends of $14.7 million during 2022, and did not pay dividends to AWR in 2021.

Interest Rate Risk A significant portion of Registrant’s capital structure is comprised of fixed-rate debt. Market risk related to our fixed-rate debt is deemed to be the potential increase in fair value resulting from a decrease in interest rates. At December 31, 2022, the fair value of Registrant’s long-term debt was $424.2 million.
