The decrease was primarily the result of lower retail revenue attributed to reduced store count and traffic declines and the related lower merchandise margins on those sales. Additionally, gross profit margin was impacted by a significantly larger wholesale business which operates at a lower gross margin rate but is accretive to operating margin.
